The Structure

• An event typically features 4 fights (occasionally 5), each about 10 minutes long
• Two fighters go head-to-head on a topic chosen by the referees
• Opening arguments: 45 seconds each
• Rebuttal rounds: 15 seconds each, 6–8 rounds
• Referees can call a foul (buzzer) at any time — 15 second response from the fighter. Referees officiate the whole event, not just one fight
• The audience is the judge and votes to decide the winner of each fight
